Broadlands Lake was once owned by Lord Mountbatten of Broadlands Estate  in the early 80's which was then developed into the Country's best day coarse fishery 1982  ,who stocked it with a number of fish to include Carp, Pike, Tench, Roach, Perch etc.

In 1999 a new stocking program got under way with 300+ pups going in, and more to go in at the end of the year.

 So 7 years from the new stock Broadlands is having a fantastic period with lots of specimens coming out over 30lbs, a loads of mid twenties, and a truck load of double figures.

The lakes are also under new ownership (March 2007) since new ownership 800 mirror carp have now been added & trebled in weight all fit & healthy soon to be moved into the lower lake & match lake (September 2007) . Also 75 doubles (mirrors & commons) have been added to the main lake , between now & October 2007 , 700 doubles will also be introduced to the main lake.
